Volunteer Opportunities

Community-Based Program

Befriend a child through consistent visits for a minimum of 12 months. Talk, play games, bicycle, read, run errands and attend community events or agency-sponsored activities. The possibilities are endless, and we welcome your interest! Our Match Support Team professionally supports each growing relationship, called a match. You are never alone.

Site-Based Program

Come to a school and meet for one hour a week with your Little Brother or Little Sister. Read, work on a project, play games or just eat lunch and talk. Our Match Support Team professionally supports each match. We currently have 14 sites in Richmond, Henrico and Chesterfield Counties, as well as in Hopewell and Petersburg.

Special Events

Throughout the year, BBBS of Greater Richmond & the Tri-Cities sponsors many events for our matches, their families, and the community at large. Our best known event is the Duck Race, IN addition to our annual Duck Race, we have added our Duck Walk and Waddle. All funds raised from both of these events will also go toward supporting our Bigs and Littles. The Duck Walk and Waddle takes place the morning of the Duck Race.
