Planned Gifts
Planned gifts allow donors to support Big Brothers Big Sisters through their estate and financial plans–that is, through bequests, gift annuities, life insurance, appreciated securities, retirement plans, and other instruments. Such gifts can be designated for a specific purpose or provide unrestricted support for Big Brothers Big Sisters mission-driven activities. Planned gifts can also offer donors significant tax savings by providing a current charitable deduction, reducing government claims on your estate, or lowering or eliminating capital gains taxes.
You do not need to be wealthy to make a gift that makes a difference. Any amount, through any mode of giving you choose, will bring meaningful benefits to present or future generations of Richmond children.
By making a planned gift to Big Brothers Big Sisters, you can invest in the future of a child. We recommend that donors consult with their own tax or legal advisors prior to making a planned gift. To learn more about how you can make a planned gift to Big Brothers Big Sisters, please call (804) 261-4940 or e-mail smilliken@bigbrobigsis.com.
