The Big Brothers and Big Sisters Duck Race
Featuring 20,000 little, yellow, rubber ducks plummeting from approximately 100 feet into the Haxall Canal at Brown's Island. Then the race begins as they start swimming toward the finish line, racing for prizes like a new car! Its a full day of all kinds of free children's activities, entertainment and an array of food.
The Big Brothers Big Sisters Duck Race is also the biggest fundraiser we do all year. This event helps us to raise approximately 25% of our total operating income for the year. All of the proceeds from the Duck Race go directly toward providing a child with an adult Big Brother or Big Sister who cares, someone who will help guide their Little Brother or Little Sister toward a brighter, more hopeful and productive future.
